If any of you are away on any dates it’s not a problem. Please let me know and someone will stand in for you.
Here are the main tasks that need doing by those helping:
- Buying 6 pints of semi-skimmed milk and ‘nice’ biscuits and bringing by 10.30am
- Putting biscuits in 7 baskets. Milk in 8 small jugs. Sugar in 7 bowls with teaspoons
- 2 small jugs of milk and 1 basket and 1 bowl are for side table
- 2 small jugs of juice for the children
- Covering everything with a tablecloth or tea towels
Please take the milk jugs, sugar bowls, baskets etc into the church hall and put everything out on a table. It would be helpful if the small kitchen is kept free as much as possible for getting the tea and extra coffee ready. (We have to remember to be quieter now as the meeting will still be in process).
We can spend up to about £5 a week on biscuits. We usually have something like chocolate digestives, choc chip cookies, creams and a few plain or anything that looks ‘nice’. Please give the receipt to Matt. (The tables are kept in the cupboard at the opposite side of the hall from the small kitchen. Some of the men usually put the tables up but if no one is around please ask someone for help).
Here is a list of most of the tasks so everyone will know what’s involved:
- Making coffee in flasks at home. (Arthur and Marlene or Dave and Chris usually do this)
- Buying milk and biscuits
- Putting biscuits in 7 baskets (with cloth lining). Milk in 8 small jugs & sugar in 7 bowls & teaspoons
- Making 2 small jugs of squash
- Covering everything with the a tablecloth or tea towels
- Making a large pot of tea and extra coffee if needed
- Filling the hot water jug
- Putting 6 cloths on small tables and the milk sugar teaspoons and biscuits
- Putting paper towel, 2 small jugs of milk, 1 sugar bowl, 2 small jugs of squash and plastic cups on small table at side near door (Usually done by Arthur & Marlene but if you want to give us a week off that is welcome)
- Pulling out tables into middle of room and putting chairs around
Tea & Coffee is served by the other team on the list
- Washing up. Mugs, small jugs, bowls and teaspoons go in small plastic baskets in wall cupboard. Tea bags, coffee, sugar etc all go in wall cupboard. Jug for hot water and cafeterias go in bottom cupboard. Cloths and spare biscuits go on top of the wall cupboard.
