Luke 23: 26-49
They were all jeering at him: ‘Save yourself.’ He didn’t.
He was too busy saving us.
Giving up his life, that we would be forgiven.
Accepting and absorbing the worst that the world could throw at him; absorbing the absence of God and the darkness of the world, so that we would not have to.
