Governing Body

The Governing Body offer long-range planning to the church’s ministry and mission. They also support and provide accountability for the church’s paid staff.

Charlie Blundell
I am married to Kate and we have two young children. I am a scientist working in the pharmaceutical sector, inventing and adapting technologies to support the discovery of new medicines. My focus in church is evangelism and the growth of new believers.
Jay Chastney
Julian Gittings

I have been part of Salford Elim church since 2015 where I worship along with my wife Clare.

Most of my working life has been centred around Christian books. I have been a bookseller for 20 years and the last 10 years or so I have worked for various Christian publishers as a sales manager. I am very passionate about Christian books and supporting Christian Bookshops.

We run a home group at our home and I am a regular speaker at our Sunday services. I am also part of the Prayer and Pastoral teams at Church.

I love to bake and have done several charity fund fundraising baking events, alongside baking my other interests are books (obviously!) and walking.

Jumi Isibor
My working life involves heading up the Liver department as a hospital Consultant. My hobbies centre around singing, dancing and walking. I quite enjoy a good movie too. I have a real passion for real life to be a Christ-life and possess a genuine interest in growing and supporting the feminine heartbeat of God in our church. I am married to Emmanuel and we both worship here.
Judith Thompson
I have been part of Elim church, with my husband Colin, since August 2016 and have loved being involved ever since. Amongst other things I am part of the Prayer Team and Pastoral Team. I also help to run Play and Stay, our adult and toddler group. I used to work as a Primary School Teacher, mostly in the Early Years department. I now do some counselling part-time and was able to start our Church and Community Counselling Service three years ago. Outside of church I love to spend time with family and friends. I am keen to serve wherever I can and I'm excited to see what God has in store for our church and community in the coming years.
