May at Salford Elim
On Sunday 17 May we have a baptismal service. We are holding this as part of our morning service, and will have a pool set up in the paddock.
Pray for Amanda and Fallon who will be getting baptised.
If you would like to join them, please talk with Mary. And pray that it is sunny!
On Bank Holiday Monday (25 May), Clare and Steve have invited the church to go to their house in Hadfield for a barbecue. If you can come please see them. It would be great if folks could bring stuff to
burn cook and share together.
It’s another chance for us to get to know one another a little better. You can find more details here.
Over the past school year the kids of Kidz Klub have been doing a fair bit. Arriving early, busting to get on with some games, we have between 18-22 kids turning up every week.
In September we started a 17 week programme, which took us through major Biblical stories and events leading up to the resurrection of Jesus himself. Each week the kids learnt an action to accompany the story, and by the end of the series they had mastered all 17 without prompts!
We’ve since been looking at the start of the early Church, and some parables too.
Oh, and we’re looking forward to making use of the outside space, now the evenings are light enough, and the weather should start to get warmer. (We hope.)
The team leading Kidz Klub at the moment is a small one, and we would ask that you pray for us as we prepare and deliver the stories, crafts, and games, and also for the kids we meet with; that they continue to be enthusiastic, and enjoy their time with us, as well as learning lasting lessons and seeking the truth.
Also if you have a particular skill, a talent, a sport you are knowledgeable in, or any ‘thing’ that you think you could teach or share with the kids as a one-off, please speak to Morag about the possibility of leading a session in the future.
