What does God ask of us: Walk humbly with me (Micah 6:1-8)

Don't give up walking humbly

Rape is a weapon of war – in war-torn countries around the world, and amongst inner-city gangs. It’s heart-breaking. In one sense it is a symptom of people losing their connection with the creator and therefore losing their human-ness. When people act like this, we become closer to animals than angels.

This week people with power have stood up and said ‘enough is enough’. And day by day agencies in our cities work for justice.

In all of this they reflect some of Micah’s heart. What does God want of humanity: ‘to act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God’ (Micah 6:8).

This week we reflect on this central passage and how we can live this out in our ordinary lives.
