Mary Causer

I was a Prison Chaplain for 6 years until I was asked to help start a new piece of work in the City centre of Manchester. So half of my week is dedicated to recruiting volunteers and training them to support ex-offenders as they leave prison, working with the Greater Manchester Community Chaplaincy. It has been an amazing journey with lots of really great people with some great stories of change and lots of green shoots!

The other half of my time is as one of the leaders in the church. Wouldn’t it be great if everyone knew what part they should play in the Body of Christ? The reality is that we all need help to find our place, I love helping people to know for themselves what they are good at, the talent that God has given them, what they have a passion for, and then help them to work in that area, whether that is where they work from Monday – Saturday and or where they want to serve in our community. I also work with our great Pastoral Team, who are dedicated to the church and its needs.
