CHOICE:ED – a sex and relationship programme for young people

CHOICE:ED logoCHOICE:ED is the new Konnekt to Life, the sex and relationship programme developed by Salford City College Chaplaincy and Salford Elim Church. Since 2009 this programme has been delivered to over 1000 students, through a team of CHOICE:ED volunteers.

CHOICE:ED is a 45 minutes long class. It is an interactive class that enables focused discussion around Sex and Relationships (value and worth), STIs, Pregnancy and Contraception. CHOICE:ED encourages students to make choices for themselves around sex and relationships, and signposts them to relevant local provision for any additional support that may be needed.

Since June 2011, this programme has been under The Vine Cafe (run by Salford Elim Church), and has been awarded with funding, with a special focus on delivering this programme to Year 10 and 11 students in Salford high schools.

If you would like to be involved, Rosie would love help in the following.

Either:

  1. Become a CHOICE:ED volunteer.
If you would be interested in becoming a CHOICE:ED volunteer please come along to the information evening, Wednesday 22nd February, 7.30pm at The Vine Cafe. This role is really flexible, and can work around your commitments.
  2. Become a CHOICE:ED prayer supporter.
Rosie will email prayer requests to you once a month.

If you would like to pray more specifically for the programme, or if you would like more information, please contact Rosie using the form below.
