Here is your start-of-the-week newsletter. It should have all you need to know about what’s happening amongst us. And a quick look should mean you are updated each week.
What’s Happening on Sundays in November
We want to invite you to pray together before the service. From 11am there will be chance to gather together in the small chapel area in the side aisle in the church. It would be great if you could be there.
Sunday 4th December: Communion
Sunday 12th December: Worship & MInistry
The Vine Community Hub
After many weeks of waiting, praying and hoping, we have finally moved all the furniture in to our new place of community engagement on Cholmondeley Road!
A massive thanks to all who have helped load vans, paint walls, dig up weeds, cut grass, clean windows, install wi fi and more – we couldn’t have done it without you!
It’s really exciting to be able to have such a great space to reach out in the name of Jesus.
Like most things, it’s a work in progress; there’s still bits to do and we may try some things and see how they go. We can’t do this without volunteers and here are just some opportunities for those who have some free time through the week.

We have just finished the first of three Alpha courses we are running this academic year and it was great. There were five regular attendees and a couple of others who came to some sessions. One of them said:
It was not what I was expecting at all. There was much more debate and open discussion and the videos answered most of my questions about the Christian faith; in fact, the arguments were really compelling! There was a lot of diversity in the people who shared their stories too. Since starting the course, I’ve noticed things changing in the way I think and react and although I wouldn’t say I’m ready to commit just yet, I’m much nearer than I was. Alpha should be advertised much more!’
The next course starts on Monday the 10th of January 2022 and will be hosted by Dave and Chris Swindells online.
Do think and pray about who you could invite – it might just change their life!
How we Support One Another
We are a church that wants to be a place where relationships are formed that will ensure you will have people around you who will be able to support you on the hard days.
But there is more.
One of the things we want to be true is that every week there will be a chance for you to be prayed with individually if that would help. At the end of each service there will be chance for you to have an unhurried time of prayer in the side chapel.
Another way we can help is through the ministry of the Community Counselling Service. Headed by Judith Thompson, this counselling ministry offers you the space to explore what is happening in your own life at this time. Anyone can access this ministry and there is no cost. If you feel you would benefit from this please don’t hesitate to contact Judith, Neil, or Ian or fill in the form on the church website.
